classifieds plugin is giving me severe headaches!

This is my first experience with WPMU, but I have built hundreds of wordpress sites…unfortunately, I have never had as much trouble getting a site up and rolling as I have had using Classifieds!!

I have to assume that I am doing something wrong, because everything that I have seen from WPMU has been awesome.

I am on my second ground up build of this site, and hitting the same type of issues. Anytime I activate the Classifieds plugin, it screws up the whole site…and if I deactivate it, I still have issues.

SO…here’s my problem – I need to get this site up and running, and I would really like to use WPMU. Do I need to buy another level of support? I will do whatever it takes, I just need to get it done. What do you recommend?

    Pages are showing up like a blogroll.

    When I have the classified plugin activated, I can’t navigate to my pages.

    When I disable custompress, nothing works

    Basically, it starts behaving in a way I have never experienced a wordpress site to behave and I don’t know how to fix it!

    I have tried to fix this issue all day, with no luck. I have rebuilt the site twice now, and isolated the problem to the classifieds plugin.

    I am still unable to access my pages, please view the site:

    try to access any of the pages at the top.

    Please help! I am happy to purchase the level of support I need to fix this issue…I just need it fixed.

    I can now deactivate and then re-activate my plugins. The site alternates between being able to see pages and being able to see custom posts. I have never been able to see both posts and pages, it is either one or the other.

    So weird – I have never seen this before.

    i had to rebuild from the ground up – one note that might have messed me up…I activated custompress AND classifieds – classifieds already has custompress in it, so that might have been causing some issues.

    Nonetheless, I signed up for gold support and worked through it on live chat – highly recommend gold level support for new wpmu folks.

    Just a note for the future, Most often this kind of come and go problem is due to the Permalinks. They get calculated once and then if something changes them they may not rebuild for the new situation.

    You can usually fix it by going to Permalinks and re saving the page. That forces a recalculation
