Difficult to edit pages on my web site

A couple of months ago, the pages edit changed completely, and now it is almost impossible to go in and do changes. Is it something to do with the Theme?

    instead of this?

    If yes then this is a new WordPress editor that's been included with WordPress as a default one recently. It's not related to theme or any plugin but it's a part of WordPress itself. The previous editor was replaced with the new one.

    You can, however, easily bring back the "good old one" if you want to. To do this, you would want to install a "Classic Editor" plugin:

    – in your site's back-end (/wp-admin) go to "Plugins -> Add new" page

    – in the "Search plugins…" search box type in "Classic Editor"

    – it should show up at the top so click "Install now" and after that "Activate"

    That's pretty much it, it should then bring that previous editor back.
