Directory theme seems to be missing a JS file

Hi. I’ve now installed the Directory plugin using the Directory Default theme (which I transferred to the Themes folder).

It almost looks okay…except there is a default sidebar that is in the wrong place (overlapping header) AND the widgets page does not fully display so I cannot even look at the sidebars.

If I activate another theme – then the widgets page displays fine, so I think the problem is with the Defaults theme. Maybe one or more javascript files have not been included?

In Safari / Activity it reports an error in not being able to find this: /wp-content/plugins/directory/ui-front/js/directory-post.js?ver=3.4.2

Please help!

    Hiya,

Do you have a link where we can see this “in action”?

I haven’t experienced this myself and can’t replicate it, but would be happy to look with you.

We have an internal beta of 2.2 that has quite a few fixes (including theme fixes) if you’d like to take a look and see if that helps.

    Let us know. Thanks!

Hi Mason. I’ve actually just experimented and I think I’ve solved the problem:

    1. The Directory plugin was clashing with Genesis Tabs plugin (which I had network activated because all our other subsites are using Genesis themes).

Now that I’ve deactivated that plugin, the Widgets page is loading correctly.

    2. When I activated the Directory Default theme, the Advertisement widget was being automatically populated with search, categories, meta etc. – so I’ve removed them and now it seems fine!

    Thanks for your help.

    Hiya,

Apologies for the delayed response here, but we’re literally adding new stuff to directory on a daily basis. Here’s a pretty solid version of the 2.2 beta. Would love you input/feedback and see if this sorts your issues for you.

    Thanks, sincerely.
