Editor problem – Pictures will not wrap around text unless I use html or TinyMCE

I have an editor problem across my blog sites. When users insert a picture it always stays on top even when using media manager to post it left aligned. My users don’t know html and the only workaround that I had was to install Tiny MCe and edit the image there. My questions:

Is there a way to correct this bug? Is it a common problem?

I installed Tiny MCEditor as a local pluggin. Can I safely install it as a Global MU pluggin? Thank you for your input on this issue.

    On top of what?

WordPress also has new image align classes you’ll need to add to your themes so images get aligned properly by default.

And like Andrew said, it’s more outside the scope of these forums.

Well I don’t want to post off topic. I’m sorry for that but I thought than these forums would cover everything related with WordPress MU and not just the plugins.

No, it has been stated in several places that these forums are only for the premium plugins (read: the plugins you can download from this website).

WPMU has it’s own forum at the official website.

and http://mu.thunderlounge.com although that’s more for the high brow concept discussions. At least in theory.

Posting a link to an example Post of where you;re having a problem would be a plus so we can see what is occurring. As noted before hand, wp themes should have additional css that was introduced a few versions ago. The editor are assuming that that css code is already there. if it’s not, it won’t display correctly.

It’s somewhere in the codex but I’ve got to run and play volunteer.

Alternatively, we could have a specific thread here that is for ‘Advanced WPMU discussion’ but which we don’t specifically support – that would make sense, right?

Also, this is a nice ‘safe’ environment to knock stuff about given that only serious people are involved – sometimes a good barrier to entry (like a membership fee) can really ramp up the level of conversation dontcha think?

And purely from a business perspective, I naturally want to give subscribers what they want!

I just had a thought. I know when I review the backend, I’m seeing 918 folks who have registered here, including folks like this who I have to admit I can’t see paying $50 just to post what I would consider a spam link.

Are those who created an account here being allowed to post to the forums? If so, that may be the issue.

I thought so but just wanted to make sure. I couldn’t see you missing something like that. Of course there are all those folks complaining about spammers bypassing a “registrations turned off” settings and are still creating their splogs so I just wanted to throw that out there.

    thanks
