[Forminator Pro] Forminator – Send Form to Any Webhook?

Hi,

Either I’m missing something or a very basic functionality is missing. I can see I can form all form submission details to Zapier. But I’m using other tools, as well as integromat. Can I really not send the same info to ANY webhook I want? Why is only Zapier available? Seems very basic to me, or maybe I’m missing something? (preferebly not by writing code snippets..)

    Hi IlyaG,

    I am afraid this isn’t possible at the moment but we do have an improvement task to integrate Forminator with Webhooks so that data can be sent to any application that supports them. There isn’t an ETA for this feature though, so you can keep an eye on the plugin’s changelog after following updates.

    (A bit late) thank you for this.
    Though I really can’t understand how come that’s not a native function given that workaround is 6 months old :slight_smile: After all, it’s just a matter of adding it to your plugin.. and it’s such a basic function.

    At least I can achieve it somehow anyway, thanks.

    If this is already achievable with the current code of forminator, why not just duplicate the Zapier entry and functions, change it to custom webhooks and offer this as a ready-made solution?.

    Changing the plugin’s code is not sustainable because we would have to do this for every new update of forminator.

    Hopefully we’ll get this feature soon!

      Hi David,

      You’re both right that this is not a good long term solution but we have a huge feature request list for Forminator, by far more than any other of our plugins and we’re trying to implement them as many as possible but the priority depends on number of users will make use of it.

      We still have it on our to-do list but I’m afraid that I don’t have an ETA to share at the moment and while including this might seem like an easy addition we still need to check the code throughout and have QA test it in depth before it would be ready for release.

      I understand your frustration and I’m sorry for keeping you waiting but I still don’t have an ETA. I’ve asked our Forminator Team if we could take care of it any time soon but please understand that there are other factors involved too:

      – Forminator is the one out of all our plugins and services that has the longest request list (it’s hundreds of tasks that are already “accepted”, not counting those that are only suggested so far but not yet on “to do” list)

      – our developers have to prioritize tasks based on popularity/demand but also we need to take care of the plugin “on the go”: fix all the unexpected bugs and issues (and those naturally take priority over everything else), keep up with changes in WordPress itself and some most popular plugins/themes that may affect Forminator and so on.

      I’m aware that this is taking a long time already but I can assure you that it is on a “to do” list, to be implemented in future. We announce all the new features and important changes on Forminator’s roadmap when they are about to come so I’d recommend keeping an eye on it here:

    Hey guys,

    Seriously, just enable the Zapier integration to allow ANY webhook (not just from Zapier), it’s a matter of removing 1 restriction from the URL and that’s it, you have just added a very desirable feature.

    I had to buy METFORM just for the webhooks, because forminator doesn’t allow any custom webhooks (even thought it’s already built into the zapier function)

    It’s 2022, I can’t really understand why this hasn’t been done :(
