How can a user register a store via the front page of my multisite marketpress site?

I have installed WordPress Multi site and Market Press. It appears I have everything I need to run a multisite store, however, when you get to my front page, it doesn’t seem like anyone would be able to create their own store. I choose “register” at the bottom of the front page, but I can’t see how anyone would register a store. I am trying to make an Etsy-like site….

    Hello there,

Greetings and thanks for your post.

The ability to create a store is just like creating a site.

The user will signup for a site from the backend of your site eg yoursite.com/wp-signup.php

You can copy the direct link and use it in a custom menu on the frontend.

Here is the usage guide of MarketPress plugin : https://wpmudev.com/project/e-commerce/#usage

PS : What is the link to your site ?

    Cheers

    Hey there,

I think you have installed Membership plugin on your site and misconfigured it as its not letting me access the site at all.

how do I set it up so that they don’t see my dashboard and the backend of all my sit.e

In that case, you will need to use frontend posting plugins and its not possible out of the box, just with MarketPress plugin. You can look at something like : https://wpmudev.com/blog/new-plugin-puts-marketpress-store-management-on-the-frontend/ (Not a WPMU DEV Product)

Right now, I get some sort of error message at the top of the page when I hit the register link…

What is the error message ?

    Cheers

I can see it on my computer, but I realized I couldn’t see it on other computers. I bought the recommended product and installed that plugin before I saw you posted a reply. I deactivated the membership plugin, but I think the error message is still coming up? Here is what I see at the top of the page:

Do you know of anyone who I could pay to finish this site up? I found someone through this forum and he worked great at the beginning in terms of setting everything up, but now he won’t return emails or calls and I’m really stuck. I was really hoping to have this up by now….Would appreciate any recommendations!!!

    Hiya,

I deactivated the membership plugin, but I think the error message is still coming up? Here is what I see at the top of the page:

Those error messages are coming from the MarketPress frontend plugin you installed. Perhaps its not compatible with latest version of WordPress or MarketPress.

Can you kindly contact the plugin developer once via the same site where you purchased the plugin from ?

Also, can you check in your wp-config.php file, where wp_debug is set to true ? If yes, then kindly set it to false and save the file

For frontend registration, you can add the below link to your custom menu

While I don’t have a personal recommendation, I will suggest you to post a requirement on the Job board here : https://wpmudev.com/wpmu-jobs/ and get someone right on it
