How can automatic posting to Facebook be disabled for some posts?

We’re running your Facebook plug-in in our WordPress to post our news/blog posts to our Facebook page, but we’re also using a multilingual plug-in to translate our posts. When a post goes up, the Facebook plug-in posts both the real post and the translation to the Facebook page, which produces extra clutter on the Facebook page that needs manual deleting. How can we disable the plug-in from posting certain posts (like our translations)?

    Hi @musicmaster

Thanks for posting and welcome to WPMU DEV!

I don’t think it’s possible to do this, it’s kind of all or nothing.

If I were you I would probably disable auto posting(Go to wp-admin > Facebook > Autopost to Facebook > “Allow autoposting new posts to Facebook”, and just tick the box > Unticked) and then when you write a new post just tick the box to post to Facebook(“Facebook Publishing” box under post box then tick “I want to publish this post to Facebook”.

So it might take more work than you were hoping, but it’s just ticking a box, rather than having to login and delete several posts.

    I hope that helps!

    Cheers,

    Mike
