How do I show the support desk on the front end?

How do I show the support desk on the front end?

The settings only allow me to activate the plugin on the main site (YCNmediaGroup.com), but I want it to show on another site on my network – http://fromconversationstoconversions.com.

It’s asking for a blog ID and I don’t know where to find it.

Also, how do I enable it for each site on my network without users getting tickets that don’t belong to them?

Thanks!!

    Hello Yifat,

I hope you're well today and thank you for your question!

The "Blog ID" is a numeric ID of the site on your Network where you wish to show the Support System front-end.

You can find it by going as a super-admin to the "Network Admin -> Sites" page and clicking on "Edit" link for that selected site. Take a look at the browser address bar after that:

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

An address in the address bar of your browser will be

    yourdomain.com/wp-admin/network/site-info.php?id=3

The number "3" is your ID that you are looking for.

    I hope that helps!

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hello Yifat!

Yes, that is correct. A typical use scenario for Support System plugin on Multisite could be like this for example:

    – users can create their own site in your network (just like our EduBlogs or like WordPress.com networks)

    – you, as a Multisite “operator”, setup a “support” site for that users where you use Support System plugin to create “FAQ” and let those users create their support ticets etc.

That makes it more of a “super-admin”/”network owner” tool for helping sub-sites’ admins rather than a plugin to be used by sub-sites’ admins

    Hello Yifat!

Here’s a nice list of plugins of that kind:

    http://smallenvelop.com/customer-support-ticket-system-wordpress-plugins/

I must admit though that I haven’t had a chance to test them and I can’t see any information there on how they work with Multisite so you may want to check them (they seem to be free though).

I think you could also go a “forum way” in a similar fashion like we do here. bbPress is highly customizable and may be a nice hit in this case
