how to remove the "follow" tab in the bottom of page in wp3.81

I get a tab at the bottom of my wordpress install with “follow”. When clicked on, it says:

Follow this blog

Get every new post delivered right to your inbox.

and asks for the name and email and a submit button “Subscribe”

How can I remove this from showing on my site?

Thanks

    Hello @Jack Kitterhing

You are absolutely correct. Yes, I do have the subscribe by email plugin. I guess the “follow this blog” title is what confused me to think it was something from wordpress rather than the plugin. I enabled it but did not get round to testing it out yet.

I assume one can control and customize the look and feel as well as where and how this should be placed on the page and which pages to show this on? Also what fields to capture etc…

    Hi @Jack Kitterhing,

    Thank you for your response.

Can the position of the tab be changed?

I do not want it on every page, can I control which page(s) to show it on?

Can I just use a shortcode or php code to place it in specific places only?

    Thanks again,

    Regards,

    Sami

    Hi there Sami,

Hope you’re well today, I’m afraid the follow/subscribe tab at the bottom is global and can’t be controlled per page currently, though it would make a great addition.

Perhaps the subscribe widget would be better to use? Along with a conditional widget plugin?

    Thanks!

    Kind Regards

    Jack,

    Hello again @Jack Kitterhing

    Thanks for the details.

I will look into using the other options/plugins.

There are so many plugins here that can be used in similar manner, it is just a matter of figuring out which is more suitable for the specific situation and/or requirements of the project at hand.

    Thanks and regards,

    Sami
