How to use the gateways from Market Press, without Market Press

0

Hi, I’d like to let my “sites” allow their customers to book an appointment via your appointments+ plugin, but it seems that only PayPal Standard is available through Appointments+

So I read that I could use Market Press’s gateways, so they can accept credit cards or use PayPal Express Checkout…

But, I don’t want to provide my Sites the use of other Market Press functions like running a commerce store, selling products etc…

Could you help me understand how these 2 plugins will work together, so I don’t confuse my customers with thinking they can sell products.. I’m not interested in letting them do that as its not within my niche to be needed.

Thanks!

    Hello Chris,

Hope you are well today and thanks for asking us.

When you have Marketpress and Appointments+ installed on same site, you will be able to integrate Appointments+ into Marketpress not Marketpress into Appointments+.

Integration between these two plugins can be done via Appointments > Settings > General Settings > Payment Settings > Integrate with MarketPress. After integration your users will see appointment just like product. They can add it to cart and purchase it through all payment gateway supported by Marketpress.

But we can’t do reverse. We can’t integrate Marketpress only payment gateway part with Appointments+ for now. But if that is the only thing you want, I suggest you hire good experienced developer, or post your this requirement on our job portal here,

    Hope that helps you.

    Have a nice day, Cheers,

Yikes, I don’t think adding an appointment to a cart would make sense at all.

I wonder if there should be a “Payment Gateways” plugin, which integrates with marketpress and appointments+ and other plugins which may require payments, that way we can use the different gateways with different plugins “that may need payments” and don’t have to do things like adding an appointment to a cart, which clearly wouldn’t make sense.

Could you possibly move this post here, to the feature requests?

I look at wpmudev to accomplish things without the need to hire a developer, I can’t afford that. I feel thats why most people here probably join wpmudev.

    Hi Chris,

I’ve moved this thread to Features & Feedback section so we can see some other user opinions about this but it’s not an easy task to accomplish so I don’t believe we will see it soon.

This is completely understandable and we tend to help with as much questions or requests as we can but some things just go beyond support we provide here due to its complexity, hope this makes sense

    Best regards,
