[Hummingbird] jQuery not defined error

Hi,

I keep getting jQuery not defined error in my console. This error prevents some of the plugins (e.g. video background) to function properly.

I understand that the issue might be that jQuery is loaded after the scripts are called but is there a way to fix it?

I granted support access for this issue.

    Hi Anastasiya

I’m sorry to hear that you are having this problem.

I was able to fix deactivating the CDN option on Hummingbird > Assets Optimization > WPMU DEV CDN seems that the URL is randomly loading, so it some time get the jQuey URL after the other JavaScripts.

Wouldn’t you mind please send me the FTP credentials and I can take a closer look at this problem?

    Hi Anastasiya

    Thank you for the information,

The WordPress is messing to the files in the CDN, it should get first the jQuery then others JavaScript, which does happen on the first time but when you navigate on the website it seems to be changed and there are some JavaScripts being loading before jQuery, so it is causing the jQuery not defined.

However, I made some speed test with and without the CDN option activated and it didn’t have any significant difference on the speed test, so, I would suggest you keep this option off, it will avoid any further problem.

I could realise that the Hummingbird > Cache wasn’t working too, there was missing the define(‘WP_CACHE’, true) on wp-config.php file.

The last speed test resulted on Fully Loaded Time = 3.2s

    Best Regards,
