I just added this second site and I just activated

Hi I just added this second site and I just activated the theme spirted but when i click customize i dont get a menue bar with the option to edit? I only get my site preview. Please help!

    Hello Sophia,

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    I accessed your site and there’s a message that your site is currently in “Coming soon” mode handled by Jetpack. That’s surprising, given that the JetPack is not even fully enabled but I think the issue here is different.

    Was there any non-WordPress site in place before? The site that’s loading is not a WordPress based site but a pure HTML site. This is overriding the WordPress install and while you’re able to access the dashboard, the front-end doesn’t even load (not even Upfront editor but the site at all).

    If you want to switch to you WordPress install you will want to access your site via FTP and make sure that this current site is removed. I’m not 100% sure about that but judging upon what I can see in browser, the files would be:

    index.html

    about.html

    films.html

    contact.html

    The first one (index.html) is actually the one that matters. If you rename it to e.g. “indexOFF.html” your WordPress site should start loading as expected I think.

    I already explain what has to be done :slight_smile:

    All you need to do is to access your server via FTP and in folder where your new WP is installed you should also see these files:

    index.html
    
about.html
    
films.html
    
contact.html

    It should be enough to rename the “index.html” file to e.g. “old.html” file.

    Would you be able to handle this or would you need some more help on this?
