i want breaks between appointments

hi there,

i’ve seen some work on this in the community forum, but i’m not too sure if this is resolved in a manner that’s workable?

so my client is a therapist, who has scheduled sessions for around 60 minutes at a time. That’s the easy part.

she then needs a standard 30 minutes break between the sessions to finish admin and such.

i’m not too sure if we’ve resolved how that is going to work?

please help?

    hi Ari, love the new profile pic.

    so – i’ve tried it.

    i’ve edited the functions.php edit to work on 60 minutes at a time,

    and the longest appointment is set to 90 in settings.

    each service is set to be 90 minutes long.

    i think that’s what we were aiming for?

    i get an error at the top of the admin interface:

    [Appointments+] One of your services has a duration smaller than time base. Please visit Services tab and after making your corrections save new settings.

    did i do this the wrong way around?

    I have two new issues – one of them is that if i click on an available day, nothing happens. i gather it’s because of this little problem?

    i’m starting a new threat for the next problem. :smiley:

    Our Ari,

    I’ve sat with the client, and they are kind of thinking that setting up their schedule to start at SET times, like at 10, then at 11:30, then at 13:00… would work better.

    can we do that?

    in stead of explaining to the system how it should work?

    i’m going to send the login details via mail to you, and see if anybody can help me figure out the problem on there.

    i followed ari’s advice to make the meetings 90 minutes, but they display on the site as 60 mins.

    the problem is that the plugin now doesn’t run, as it thinks my appointments / time sets don’t match…

    please have a lookie see if you find anything you can fix?

    the rest of the site is pretty much done and i would like to hand over.

    Sorry for the delay here. Ari sustained a rather serious injury so I’ll see how I can assist with this.

    Could you let us know the specific code you added?

    Also, if you simply remove that code do you still get error messages?

    I’m just hoping to confirm the code itself isn’t causing any issues.

    As for your question about set times are you asking if it’s possible to fully customize working hours to be set times?

    If so, I don’t really see an easy way to achieve that currently but will have a look and see what might be possible.

    First of all I thought I’d ask how Ari is doing?

    Before proposing some bespoke code in the functions.php could you please provide a screenshot of the following:-

    1. ‘Services’ tab

    2. ‘Service Providers’ tab

    3. Working Hours’ tab for each ‘Service Provider’ and the ‘no specific provider’

    Could you confirm if you just want a standard 30min break between each ‘Service’ duration during the day?

    Have you also considered just introducing standard breaks in the ‘Working Hours’ tab or doesn’t this provide you with the required solution?
