I want to strip all wiki styling (CSS), how to?

I’m working with the wiki plugin and can’t get around the fact that the plugin style sheet uses the “!important” value on many of the CSS rules. Can I completely strip the plugin of it’s CSS without the need to update the style sheet on every update of the plugin?

Not really no. Like I said, I would like to totally remove the wiki plugin css. The site already got a comprehensive set on stylesheets and styles from which I much rather use the base and style the wiki.

Maybe that would also fit as a future request, the possibility to disable the wiki stylesheet from within the admin, much like many other plugins.

I am not sure if this would work… and it is kind of a hack… but I will throw it out there…

What if you make the changes to the style sheet (including emptying it) and then make the file read only… so it cannot be overwritten on updates…

Way out there but … Use at your own risk LOL

I don’t think there can be an answer bsed on what i see here.

A feature request is where this should go next.

And in the meantime, work around it, one way or another.

ok, this might do the trick.

in your themes functions.php

try this
```
function unregister_wikistyles() {

wp_deregister_style( 'incsub_wiki-css' );

wp_dequeue_style( 'incsub_wiki-css' );

}

add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'unregister_wikistyles' );
```
that should remove the wiki CSS completely.

if you want to add your own custom CSS to it.

you could use wp_enqueue_style() & wp_register_style() to add your own

i just edited it slightly as it has to be in a function in functions.php

i haven’t tested it though, but it looks ok, if not, just needs some tweaking. but either way those are the 2 wp functions to do it.
