I was asked why I am not using BuddyPress. It does have the features I need, so I tried it again. My site built out beautify. I has everything I want for my groups. Until I manually registered a test user.

Turns out BP is not sending the auto-generated passwords. My sites are private and need to be that way.

If I turn off Bp the site send all usernames and passwords a needed.

Turn BP back on and the admin registered users register and get email, but have no way to log in because there is no way to get the password. The emails send just no password.

I’ve done a lot of searching and a lot of people are asking this same question.

How do I get BP to send the auto-generated password to the new members?

Thanks for all

I was adding them from the main sites admin dashboard. Not from the network dashboard. My administrators will be adding from the main sites admin dashboard unless you have another suggestion. Do the administrators have access to the network dashboard?

Registration works great when bp is off.

    hiya

I have been testing this on my test server, and I also experience this issue when BP is enabled.

I am unsure what is causing it, as we do not actually develop or own the buddypress plugin, it would be best to report this as a bug over at buddypress.org, they might already know a workaround or know a fix. I really don’t think just us 2 are the only ones who have this issue.

let us know what they say over at buddypress.

    hope this helps

    thanks.
