is there an easy way to duplicate a MU subsite

– truthis.us is currently a subsite in a network site hosted with WPMUDEV
– I would like to have that site be associated with a new domain: itisalready.com
– my thought is to duplicate the site under truthis.us and then map it to itisalready.com

Am I on the right track?

    Sorry, I’m not sure whether I follow your intention of duplicating the site, what exactly you meant under “truthis.us”. All the subsites are under your Multisite.

    If you only want to map the existing subsite to a new domain then a duplicate isn’t required, you only have to map the domains by changing to the new domain mentioned.

    To duplicate a subsite site, you can use a plugin like NS Cloner:

    This should help with duplicating the existing subsite to a new subsite under your Multisite, so you could map the newly create subsite if needed.

    If you meant to map more than one domains to one subsite then you could use domain mapping plugins like WP Ultimo etc

    Thank you so much for your prompt response!

    Both domains are a subsite of a MU network.
    I believe you are correct – all I need is to map the existing site to the domain name I want.
    Wasn’t sure that it can be that simple, but it sounds like it is. I’ll try it tomorrow and let you know if that resolves it.
