membership replaces s2member but…

Hi:

I tried to find my other thread on this issue but could not…so, sorry about opening this one…

Ok, so, I have replace s2member with membership. I network deactivated s2member. However, some plugins and options within WP still show s2member as selectable. See attached as and example.

I am not sure I am 100% ready to delete s2member totally so how can I remove s2member from all options in all plugins or WP itself etc?

Also, I have notice googlebot still crawling some s2member links too and that some s2member info is still in the htaccess or config etc.

Please let me know your insights…smile

    hiya

i don’t know anything about s2member but searching their own website gave this.

    Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards

disable the safeguards, then you can uninstall. which should then remove all s2 options etc.

they would be able to help you more with it being their plugin.

    hope this helps.

    thanks

    Thanks @Vaughan

For anyone else that may have this issue here is the solution:

    1. Dashboard -› s2Member® -› General Options -› Deactivation Safeguards

    2. Network Deactivate and/or delete the s2member plugin and associated plugins.

    3. Install the User Role Editor WordPress plugin. http://role-editor.com/

    4. Go to each site (can not do it in Network Admin at one time). Under users open the editor for Roles. Proceed to delete the unwanted roles.

    Done.

Not sure why s2member does not remove these automatically but here is a thread:

    http://www.s2member.com/forums/topic/getting-rid-of-membership-levels/

Site benefit though: Now you have a easy way add custom roles if you ever need that too.
