Move of multisite pages

Hi guys,

I have what could be a confusing question. More confusing due to the way I did things rather than coming up with a solution.

I setup a multisite on a hosting package and created a few sites on it. Since then I have moved host and have set the site up already with the same domain name. I now want to carry across a site within the multisite that I built on the previous host installation but it keeps redirecting to the new multisite.

In order to get in, I had to rename the plugins which I assume prosites was the issue. Now when I log in it does not display any of the pages that I setup.

Do you have a solution as to how I can get access to the site on the old multisite so that I can transfer all the pages of the one particular site into the new multisite installation?

    I’m really sorry but I’m not exactly sure about your current setup and the issue. What I understood is you have setup a Multisite on a host, and then you moved that whole multisite to a new host and you didn’t change the domain for that multisite. What I could not understand is this line: I now want to carry across a site within the multisite that I built on the previous host installation but it keeps redirecting to the new multisite

    Can you please explain a little bit more so we can clearly understand what happened? Did you mean that after migrating to another host, some of your subsites don’t show pages created in your previous host subsite?

    We can guide you best if we are 100% clear about your situation. Can you please also describe how you migrated to your new host?

    Thanks for replying and yes I can see why it is confusing. Let me try to simplify.

    HOST 1 –

    I installed a multisite and then setup some sites.

    I ran into some technical issues with the multisite and decided to move hosts in the process.

    HOST 2 –

    I installed a fresh install of multisite and mapped my domain to it (same domain from HOST 1). The issues that I was having with the first multisite installation was now sorted and all was going well.

    I now decided to start building a few sites on the new installation. I tried to go back to HOST 1 and copy the pages over however (I assume as I had ProSites installed) it was mapping to the domain name as it redirected to the site on HOST 2.

    I renamed the plugins folder on HOST 1 and was then able to login to the HOST 1 dashboard. When viewing the HOST 1 sites, all the pages were missing.

    What I need is to be able to access the sites that were installed on HOST 1 so that I can bring them across. I hope this is a little clearer as it is a little confusing situation.

    Could you please specify what issue you had with HOST 1 due to which you migrated to HOST 2? I’m asking this particularly because you did specify all the pages are missing in HOST 1. Are the pages missing only to specific subsite, or the issue is in general? Is there any other anomalies you have noticed other than missing pages?

    It sounds like the HOST 1 does work, to have a better understanding, could you please enable support access, so that I could check, and see how you current site behaves.
