Pages "Feature Image" won't display

I set the template to Default Template and add text to the edit box and it shows up on my page. However, the feature image I set does not show up. How can I get the feature image to show on the default template?

    Hello brian_becker,

I’m sorry for my confusion here – did you create new page in WordPress dashboard and not in the Upfront editor? I’m afraid this way it wont work – default template is the same as the “no template” in upfront and this one doesn’t show the featured image.

So you would need to use other template for this page, or edit in Upfront and add new region to have the image for that page.

With Upfront we really recommend using it editor for adding new posts and pages and not the standard WordPress one.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

How do we get around self-created pages then? The “calendar” page is created by the Time.ly All-in-one Calendar plugin (over 100,000 active installs). And other pages like WooCommerce do the same thing.

The Calendar page works and shows the calendar and the footer.

If I click to edit Upfront and don’t do anything to the page (just hit save & exit) then the calendar continues to display.

If I click to edit Upfront, change the background of the top region and save & exit – the calendar goes away.

I found the issue. There is a text box labeled the same as the name. If that textbox exists, the data will be displayed. If the textbox does not exist then the data will not be displayed.

NEW PROBLEM. With the Time.ly calendar plugin, the top and bottom of the calendar has a link to move to the next page of the calendar. It creates a link:

    http://rchealth.wpengine.com/calendar/action~agenda/page_offset~1/time_limit~1454936401/request_format~html/

This throws a 404 error on the page. Is there a way to get UpFront to be compatible with this method of changing calendar pages?

    Hello brian_becker,

At this moment Upfront is not entirely compatybile with plugins like WooCommerce and plugins that are using virtual pages – our developers are still working on this issue.

As for the Time.ly – I tested it on my lab site with Spirit theme and found it working perfectly fine – changing dates.

On your site there is error “SecurityError: The operation is insecure.” – looks like this is issue with your hosting wpengine https://time.ly/forums/topic/conflict-with-dateview-change/ and not the theme.

    kind regards,

    Kasia
