{Panino} Upfront editor has completely disappeared

I have Panino running on uig.dangeroustactics.com. Editing has been very cumbersome, but it was coming along. I took a break, came back and logged in the site, and now any and all editing functionality has disappeared.

When you enter the Upfront editor, the entire sidebar with all the editing tools is completely gone. The navigation menus are all distorted. Clicking on any page elements to edit them accomplishes nothing at all.

I’ve deactivated plugins and also tried reverting back to default theme to see if anything would bring Upfront back to life. The entire site seems to be broken now. I didn’t even touch anything. All I did was log off and log back in, and the entire site is now broken. Interestingly, the site still looks the exact same as it did in a browser. It’s just the editor that’s broken.

Support access has been granted. Would really appreciate some insight into how to get this theme working. Thank you.

    Hello Christian,

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

I checked your site and I can confirm the issue. I would like to investigate it much closer and for this I’d need to access your site directly.

    Please send in:

    Subject: “Attn: Adam Czajczyk”

    – Mark to my attention, the subject line should contain only: ATTN: Adam Czajczyk

    – Do not include anything else in the subject line, doing so may delay our response due to how email filtering works.

    – Link back to this thread

    – login URL and admin account login credentials (may be a temporary admin account) data

    – Include FTP log-in details (hostname, username & password)

    – Include hosting control panel access details (login address, username & password) – cPanel’s usually the control panel used for this, but your provider may use something else; I’ll need this for accessing your site’s database, preferably via phpMyAdmin

    – Include any relevant URLs for your site

Please use our contact form here http://wpmudev.com/contact/

Select “I have a different question” from the drop-down list.

Please be sure to make a full backup of your entire site first!

    Best regards,

Hi Adam, I just emailed you again. Please don’t worry about looking into the issue further. I just rebuilt again on yet another domain, and it’s broken on me there too. After almost three straight days trying to configure the theme, I’m just not able to justify further investment into making it work. We’ll have to go with a different theme. I must just be trying to make Upfront do something it’s not able to do.

For the record, I feel compelled to report that any including any html or custom css, even very basic elements, seems to break the theme immediately. If I were to stick with the basic layout defined by the theme, it would be a great-looking layout. I’m afraid that I’ve failed completely when it comes to customizing it at all though.

    Hello Christian!

I received your message, thank you.

I already checked the site briefly and it seems that I’ll need to give it some more in-depth investigation. I’ll continue working on this and if necessary I’ll involve developers. Please keep an eye on your e-mail inbox and I’ll be in touch with you soon (I’ll respond to your e-mail message).

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hello Christian!

It seems that we “cross posted”.

I fully understand you point of course though I think the issue is strictly related to your server configuration. I understand your priorities though of course.

In case you wanted me to get back to the issue and continue investigating it, let me know please and I’ll jump back in asap.

    Best regards,

    Adam

Thank you very much for the followup. If it’s a server configuration causing the issues, it would be great to know what needs changed in order to make it work properly for future reference.

I do not consider it a top priority, but I also don’t want to give anyone who reads this thread in the future to get the impression that Panino is a disaster. That’s not my impression. I’ve simply not been able to get it to do what I want.

A server-related conflict with the theme could definitely explain the issues I’ve experienced. It’s like no matter what I do, the theme eventually just crashes and is not recoverable. Something’s not right.

If I’m still allowed to use the credentials that you sent me I’ll be happy to work on this further in order to find our the reason. Just confirm whether I could continue investigation and I’ll be glad to do so.

    Best regards,
