Paypal Chained Payments error — 580022

When I checkout with my sandbox emails, I get the error:

There was a problem connecting to PayPal to setup your purchase. Please try again.

580022 – Invalid request parameter: email cannot be blank

580022 – Invalid request parameter: email is invalid

I am using a ‘Business’ Sandbox email for the seller [vib.in/store11/store] and a Personal email for the buyer — there used to be a Paypal window that would open where I can input Buyer Paypal credentials upon checkout, but it’s not opening anymore for some reason and this error pops up.

    Hey @Ashish,

    Taking some baby steps here:

    1. Could you try updating to the latest version of MarketPress, just to see if that makes a difference?

    2. Could you temporarily deactivate the other plugins on your network, in case one of them is causing a hiccup here?

    3. In the network dashboard, in Settings -> MarketPress, “PayPal Mode” is set to “Sandbox”, correct?

Do you have any other stores on the network? Does this error show up with any of them, or just this one site?

If steps 1-3 don’t help, could you enable Support Access to your site, so we could have a closer look?

    Thanks!

    Regards,

    Michael

Hi Michael — I’ve done all three, it’s not doing anything. Also, I did not update the Breadcrumb’s plugin(the update causes the cart to not load). I disabled that plugin and it didn’t do anything for the shopping cart error I orginally posted about.

    I’ve provided you access.

    Thanks

    Hello @Ashish

Please go to Network Admin > Settings > Marketpress and give an email address in paypal email field.

Then, go to each subsites' admin > Product > Store Settings > Payments tab and give a sandbox email address.

Then check, it should work. I just tested with my sandbox account in your site and it worked. Please try and let us know.

Hope it helps  Please feel free to ask more question if you have.

    Cheers

    Ash
