Popup Pro, Shortcode to embed in page

Hello, sorry, probably a beginners question, but i’ve searched throughout the forum and instructions.

I want to access a popup (with a Mailchimp subscription) within a page/post from a text-link (e.g. Subsrcibe to the NL.)

How can i reach that, is there any shortcode-support for that?

I have installed Popup Pro, also e-Newletter an MailChimp Integration (all configured so far).

Thank you

Markus

    Hi Markus,

    Hope you’re well?

There isn’t a shortcode for this, however it is possible to do what you want.

You need to make sure that your text link has a class assigned to it.

    <a class="subscribe-now" href="#">Subscribe now</a>

the example above, you can see there’s a class named ‘subscribe-now’

So when you create a popup, you can set the rule so that it appears when a link with that class is clicked.

    Hope this helps

Hello, thanks for answering, i tried it now but i don't have the field "Appear when user clicks on a CSS selector". It finished with only the three points until "Appear after user scrolled until CSS selector".

I've tested it on a fresh local WP with the newest Popup Pro.

    Hi Markus,

Apologies, I thought the CSS selector was the included without any add-ons.

    You need to first enable the Javascript Events Add-on in;

    Dashboard > popup > settings

Then activate the add-on for Javascript events.

    Hope this helps
