Pro Site permission upgrade issue

Hi,

When my users try to upgrade their site on my wordpress multsite using Pro Sites, it says ‘Sorry, but it appears you are not an administrator for any sites.’. How can I make it so that they can upgrade?

I ‘think’ it is because I have not made them an Administrator but created a new role just with the permissions I wanted them to be able to do.

(User Role Editor plugin).

If this is the cause, any suggestions? (providing them Administrator access was giving too much functionality that I wanted)

much appreciated

    Hi there @en6geh,

Upgrading a site would indeed require them to be an administrator. This is because normally you could have multiple editors (or anyone of lower roles) and wouldn’t want anyone else to be able to manage billing.

There are a few options we have here. I’d recommend allowing users to be administrators, and then just removing features that you don’t want admins to have – let me know what these might be and I can help you out.

Another option would be modifying Pro Sites to accept lower user levels, but this would involve changing some code, and I wouldn’t recommend it right away.

    Best regards

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick response.

So from playing around a bit I’ve changed it so that it is the Administrator role

I am using the ‘Easy Blogging’ plug in  and so have restricted access to most things.. … and as usual with WordPress there is always many ways to do things

thank you so much for clarification.
