Problems updating theme via Envato

Hi
I have the ‘Bimber’ theme installed on politics.scot, a subsite of unews.buzz.
I need to update it to the latest version, and have installed the Envato plugin and input a verifying token.

It then gets to the step of showing the orange box with ‘Update available’, but clicking on the link does nothing, it won’t begin the update. Also when I go to Themes section, it doesn’t offer the update option there.
I have enabled Support Access.
thanks, Neil.

    Hello Neil McEvoy

    I hope you’re well today!

It seems that support access to the site in question is not open so I can’t check it. Did you manage to solve the issue meanwhile and removed access?

Since it’s a multisite – you have tried to update the theme from “Network Admin”, being logged in as a super-administrator user, right? Have you tried to get support from Bimber theme developers (it’s a premium, paid theme and they should provide support) or Envato directly?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam

Oops sorry I hadn’t actually enabled it, have done so now.

Yes that’s how I’ve tried to update it. I have logged a ticket with the theme support, but annoyingly they take days to respond and I need to get this sorted asap, so your help much appreciated.

    thanks, Neil.

    Hi Neil,

Did you manage to find a solution to this?
I checked your site and it shows that everything is up to date, including Bimber theme.

I did also have a look at the Envato plugin and I noticed that said before that you added the token but it still says there to imput your token, perhaps plugin is not saving this properly.
I’m not much familiar with this so perhaps you can get in touch with plugin devs and see if this is working properly?

    Best regards,
    Predrag

    Hi Predrag

No still not fixed and no it’s not the latest version. It’s at 7.4.3 and the latest is 7.4.5

The developer isn’t proving very helpful. All they could suggest was to say “it can be caused due to upload limit on your server. Please tell me what is your PHP max upload file size.”

I have no idea what that is.

    thanks, Neil.
