Protected Content plugin – directing users after login

Hello,

I have installed the plugin Protected Content and I love it. One thing I keep wondering…is it possible that I redirect members to antoher landingspage after login? Or can I change/delete the current landingspage (account-2)? Hope to hear from you! Thanks

You could simply edit that page and add shortcodes in it so that the appropriate content shows up to the right users…

To do that you could use something like this:

THIS IS WHAT PEOPLE ON LEVEL 9 SEE

Hi Ari,

Thanks for the fast reply. Unfortunately I cannot change it… Is there a way you took a look? By the way, my site is members by invite only. So all the members need to do..is login, get directed to the hidden pages and log out. There is no need to see the payment options / summary of their accounts / being able to edit it etc.

See attached file, what happens: I just want this page being a "Welcome" page…

Could you please grant us access to your backend so that we may see exactly what is happening?

To do so, from your dashboard go to WPMUDEV => Support => Support Access and click on the “Grant access” button.

Please note that you must have the WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin installed on your site to complete the above process.

I think there may actually be a really easy solution here, since you just want to redirect users after they log in: https://wpmudev.com/project/login-redirect/

Just redirect the current landing page URL to the landing page you want members to see instead.

Five minute fix, tops!

Hi!

I have tried what you suggested above. What that does, is redirect the administrator to another page instead of the dashboard. But thats not what I need. I need when a member logs in with your plugin ( Protected Content) I want them to get directed to another welcome page, instead of the membership overview

I’m afraid that different redirects are not currently possible per level…

However, you could simply edit the current page, add content there for all your levels, and then conditionally show the appropriate content to your user levels using the Protected content shortcodes. :slight_smile:

Hope you’re doing well today and thanks for your question!

When you click the “edit page” link inside your:

Protected Content > Settings > Membership pages. It should take you to the page so you can edit it :slight_smile:

I do notice that your page doesn’t have the shortcode on it already, but it still showing the tables. Are you able to swap to different versions of the page with WPML? I’m thinking this is a WPML conflict. If you deactivate WPML temporarily are you able to edit that page and show the content on the front end?

As for the login redirect, I think you can target just subscriber user role with this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/peters-login-redirect/

Then it won’t redirect admins anymore, just subscribers.

I have received your details, This is really strange because usually we never lose any details sent via the contact form.

I added a code snippet that lets you customize your Account Page. It already on the site.
```
function custom_page($content) {

return "Some Custom Text" ;

}



add_filter('ms_controller_frontend_user_account', 'custom_page');
```
You can replace Custom Text with anything you want including HTML.

Once again this is definitely not usual behaviour here, we are currently experiencing an unusually high volume of new members and support tickets. This one slipped through the gaps in spite of it being so simple.
