Pushing staging to production does not update the production

I’ve attempted pushing staging to production but it seems the push did not take place. The staging area still has the data I want to push, but the production site and its admin does not reflects the changes.

I am extremely sorry about this issue.

We have already escalated this issue to our DevOps, they will be looking into this as soon as possible. We will get back to you via this ticket once we get further feedback regarding the status of the issue.

Again I apologize for the inconvenience caused due to this.

Is there any chance of finding out if the dev-ops have even opened the ticket? On the first day of my official cutover to this hosting platform my access to the site was rendered useless. Another full day of this and it will start strangling my business.

I’m not a complainer, and I realize technical problems happen, but I just need assurances that someone is actively working on this. From my point of view this isn’t much better than a 30-hour outage.

    Hello Larry

I hope you’re well and let me say sorry for the inconvenience caused. I noted that when you did staging sync you chose the “Files” option which copied only the staging files to production. Instead you should choose the “Files & Database” option to copy both the files and database over to production as I have done. Now I see the staging and production sites are the same. You can also verify this from your end.

I hope this has been helpful. If we can assist further, please do not hesitate to contact us.

    Kind Regards,
    Kennedy

Thanks so much! Sorry if I seemed frantic (mainly because I was feeling frantic). I know a lot about WordPress on the front end, but the back end not so much. I thought pushing the files would give the information the pages would need to render, but I’ll know better moving forward.

      Again, thanks!
