I’m using Q&A and domain mapping for an individual site – http://iot4climate.solutions/ (mapped to http://solutions.iot4climate.net/ ) – in a Multisite installation – http://iot4climate.net/
Users must register for the site to be able to ask a question or post an answer or vote. When a user discovers our Q&A site (which is not the Primary site), they are directed to a BuddyPress registration form on the Primary site and after authenticating via email they are again brought to the Primary site, which leaves the user confused as to why they are there, plus they may still not be registered for the individual Q&A site.
At first I thought I wanted all registrants to be part of the BuddyPress network, in addition to registering for whatever non-primary site where they started. I am willing to give up “adding in the BuddyPress registration,” if that is the only way to have people get registered for the non-primary site, where they first started.
How does one set up multisite, so users visiting site-a.primarysite.com (or site-b.primarysite.com ) are registered for “site-a” or “site-b” instead of primarysite.com ?
