[SmartCrawl Pro] SMARTCRAWL NEEDS TO LOOK AT RANK MATH

1

RANKMATH is blowing both Yoast and SmartCrawl Pro out of the water as a free plugin. I thought it was all talk and buzz, but its really not. It’s fantastic. Check it out and try to incorporate some of the features that SCP is missing. Plus its really light.

    Hi Derin ,
    hope you are doing well!

Thanks for sharing this with us. I totally agree with you that Rankmath is doing a great job and it is raising the bar of competition which is challenging and exciting for our SmartCrawl team. We are already keeping an eye on the WP SEO market as well as our users’ requests. Which led us to work on a number of new features and improvements to add to SmartCrawl Pro such as the Schema builder to take full control over Schema types which will be added next release v2.9.0. After that are planning UX/UI improvements as well as working on improving our SEO checkup and recommendations tools. In short, we promise that you will notice improvements in each release at a time.

However, I am interested to know if there is a specific feature that you would like us to set it as a priority on the SmartCrawl Pro roadmap?

    Warm Regards,
    Mohammad Sharab

I think Keyword Rank Tracker feature in RankMath Pro is really cool. SEOPress launchs Insights with similar feature (Keyword Rank Tracker) + backlinks tracking. I’d love to see the similar features in SmartCrawl or Beehive Pro. Do you think that’s possible?

    Hey Han,
Thanks for bringing this up. Yes, definitely this is possible.

Let me share with you some context. So currently, we are working on phase one of SmartCrawl Pro improvement. At phase one, we are improving the SEO factors that we already support in the plugin which are Indexing/Crawling, Site Apperacne on SERP & On-page ranking factors. As well as improving the onboarding experience for new users so they would be able to configure 100% of the first 2 stages of SEO Indexing/Crawling and Site Visibility on SERP in less than 5 minutes, actually, for a simple site, it could take 2 minutes.

In phase two we will add tools that support Off-page SEO factors that we haven’t support until now such as Keyword and backlinks tracker as well as integration with Google analytics, and console. This phase is still in the planning stage so I am afraid that I can’t give an ETA.

Also, all of the above should be tied together with an improved UI/UX, so users would have a clear perspective on their SEO Health and how they could improve it.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any suggestions, comments, or concerns regarding SmartCrawl Pro. Such questions and comments help us a lot when it comes to improving and adding more features to the plugins.

    Warm Regards,
    Mohammad Sharab

I’ve just been recommended RankMath and was going to create a new topic for discussion, but saw this.

For me, SmartCrawl is still behind Yoast. By the looks of things, Yoast is now behind RankMath.

I don’t really want to not use SmartCrawl, but it would appear my sites will be better served with RankMath, which is a shame, as always keen to try and keep everything under one roof, so to speak.

Hi James and thanks for reaching out!

That’s exactly what we are working on, to add new features and improve the current ones so our members won’t need to install any other SEO plugins. We don’t just try to add more features, but we look into how we could provide a seamless experience for those features.

As I mentioned in my previous replies, we are working on a plan to improve the on-page and off-page SEO features in SmartCrawl Pro. Our first release in this plan was v2.9.0 which introduced the Schema builder, and the next one will be out soon, which will add the Local Business Schema type. After that, we are working on SEO Audit tools.

Our promise that with each release, you will find a feature that is better than its equivalent in RankMath and Yoast in terms of the new user experience. For example, you can compare the experience and the time needed to add an error-free/correctly configured Product schema for a WooCommerce site on SmartCrawl and Rankmath. On SmartCrawl Pro, it is a click of a button process with the option to edit any schema property, unlike Rankmath and Yoast. The same for the Article schema type and the Local Business type with its 60+ subtypes, you can see how easy to add multiple business locations in SmartCrawl Pro compared to RM.

Still, RM has more Schema types, but they are not easy to configure. However, SmartCrawl Pro will be adding more types as well as a custom schema builder.

We are also improving our SEO Audit tools, which would help members know exactly how Google sees their site. In addition to providing recommendations to improve their ranking.

I believe it is a matter of time for SmartCrawl Pro to be as good as any other SEO plugin out there. If not better, when you combine it with our HUB where you can manage and monitor multiple sites from one location.

    Best Regards,
    Mohammad Sharab

    Hi James ,

Do you have a timescale for this?

We don’t have an exact time frame for the whole plan as we do iterations based on user’s feedback on released features to improve the user experience which could postpone some new features.
However, the next release that will include Lighthouse SEO Audit integration should be released by the end of April.

I am going to try Rank Math on a couple of my sites, but will leave SmartCrawl in place on the majority for now.

Please feel free to let us know if there is a specific feature in RankMath you would like to have in SmartCrawl so I would add your request/suggestion as a vote for this feature.

    Warm Regards,
    Mohammad Sharab
