So, speaking of themes, I thought I’d get some opinions from y’all.
I’ll be the first to admit to being a web standards Nazi. Tables are for tabular data, the whole shebang.
However, I’m to the point of frustration with a lot of themes out there (not just the theme pack James put together, but as a whole), and tired of wasting hours per theme to make them validate.
I’m about to say screw it, and quit validating themes. After all, a user can kill validation with a few simple clicks in the visual editor.
When you put together a ton of themes, and you spend a couple of hours per theme to make it fully validate (as well as repair anything that ends up not being cross-browser compatible), is it really worth it at the end of the day?
9 times out of 10, they look fine even though they don’t validate.
Anyone want to chime in on it? I seriously could find a better way to spend a couple hundred hours. lol
