[The Hub] Allow non-unique local development URLs for connected sites

1

I’m unable to connect my local development site because the local domain is already being used. Since local dev URLs are often reused across different users and environments, this restriction can block legitimate connections. Please consider allowing shared/non-unique URLs for local sites in The Hub, or adding a local-site exception to the current domain ownership check.

    Hi Fabio Fava

    Hope you are doing fine.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Your request has been received and will be carefully considered by our team as part of our ongoing efforts to improve flexibility for local development environments. We understand how shared or reused local domains can create limitations in legitimate workflows, and we appreciate you highlighting this scenario.

At this time, a follow-up review is already in progress to evaluate the feasibility of allowing non-unique URLs or introducing a local-site exception to the current domain ownership checks. Keep in mind, there is no estimated timeline (ETA) yet, as the team needs to thoroughly assess compatibility with existing features and ensure that any changes maintain system stability and security.

Further notifications will be provided depending on the updates supplied by the team.

    Kind regards

    Luis
