In the EU and also to some extent in the US, there are specific rules, when to apply certain taxes and when not to apply them. This is mainly based on the country code, ZIP code and presence of a (valid) tax ID.
If we don’t comply with these rules, this can have severe consequences. As such, it should be possible to define a logic, how and when to apply which tax (or even better, an automatic feature like the one offered by stripe).
