user registration in a site with wp, buddypress and bbpress

When a user registers on a website with wordpress, buddy press and bbpress installed, which is he actually registering with?

I mean, which software will be in charge of the user database since any one of these 3 are actually capable of accepting registration. Will there be one “central” user database or will the 3 of them be holding some and sharing them?
