Video Live Chat instead of Texting

Hey everyone,
What do you think of this idea? When you get ahold of tech support, instead of texting back and forth, you have a video chat with the person. This would make it so much easier explaining what you need help with (and fun, too? Lol.).

Frankly, I’ve never heard of video tech support for a webhosting company. It would be awesome!

    We already informed our Hub Developer Team (which would likely may need to develop the interface and features needed to implement this) so they can check the viability of the task. I understand that our methods to provide support can have some limitations. We don’t have an ETA of when a feature like this will be implemented, tho; but we will proper announced it once it becomes available.

    I’ll be honest — I’m personally not a big fan of video chats for support. For quick questions, typing is usually faster and less “pressure.” And I imagine offering full video support would add quite a bit of cost and complexity on the support side.

    That said, I can see the value for very specific, more complex cases where screen‑sharing or real‑time guidance would save a ton of back‑and‑forth. Maybe it could work as an optional paid add‑on for users who really want that level of support.

    So while it’s not something I’d use every day, I can definitely see why some people would love it.

      That’s a really great idea, offer it as an add-on or some kind of Expert Service.

      I remembered that as a freelancer, I did something like that in the past, and indeed, the video call hour rate was almost six times the cost of the same hour doing text chat.
