WP admin is inaccessible after configuring Defender Pro

I installed defender pro and my server crashed. When I finally got to the dashboard in recovery mode I was locked out. Now I can not access wp-admin.

    Hello bradley

I am sorry to see you having some issues. This issue doesn’t seem to be related to defender though, rather it seems a misconfiguration of roles and capabilities.

We have sent your issue to our second level support team. Please note that, they deal with more complex issues, so there might be little delay. We appreciate your patience on this.

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,

    Ash

Now i am more worried. if you look at the correspondence between me and your colleague i have shown him the email i received from wordpress. It is indeed Defender. Also the log on cpanle is all defender. I know nothing about your software how do you not know. I have also given this information. Can someone message me and let me know what is going on and what the issue is please.

    Hi bradley,

I hope you are well today!

Regarding your issue, I’ve checked and your site has been attacked a long time. Now I removed the malware codes and also installed the Defender back. I also suggest you check all admin/editor users and remove the account which you don’t know. Also, update the strong password for the rest admin accounts and FTP/CPanel account too. And then, go to Defender->Security Tweaks and update the config for security.

Please note, I see almost your backup files have been infected ( you can check all your backup files at here: …/wp-content/updraft and …wp-content/uploads/snapshots). So if can, please remove all the backup files. And then try to create a new backup file. Or please clean the malware code on the backup file before you try to restore.

    Kind Regards,

    Tho Bui

Thank you for taking time. I have already deleted all user accounts for now. The problem is i can not access wp-admin. i have tried to set up another user using phpmyadmin but this did not work. https://www.ringsideboxingnews.com/wp-admin/ still gives me “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” i will try and delete malware code first and then restore backup. If i can not download or restore back up do you have any suggestions

    Hey there bradley,

Sorry to hear about that, but I see it’s already working with me yesterday, I double-checked on 2 accounts. I just re-check, it’s working fine with me too. I cleared your account cache, so can you try to clear your browser cache or try on the private browser again?

    Kind Regards,

    Tho Bui

yes if you see my rating and feed back i already dealt with this. i deleted all the back ups that you found were infected. . i feel my back up plugin was the problem that cased infection. i then deleted all users and just left my two admin accounts. i changed my password via phpmyadmin and changed my meta data to give me back administration capabilities. after you deleted main code and i deleted all back ups i was able to add back admin duties. thank you very much for taking time i was indeed able to get back in into my site. without your help and you taking time to explain the issue i was not able to do this
