[WP Defender] Activated WP defender and now locked out of my plugins

Right after I activated the "WP Defender" plugin, a popup showed up to tell me my password to enable or disable security settings is "admin". Problem is that I can't get to plugins section on WPMU or the regular plugins section to deactivate. I can't locate where the WP Defender plug in is sitting. Taking a closer look, I see that I don't have the right WP Defender plug in and following the link to their site reveals that this plug in is shut down. I really don't know why I have it on my system. I was trying to upload the WP Defender from WPMU. This is the same problem as with my first ticket. Now that I'm more wary that the author isn't the same, I'l be watching for this in the future. In the meantime, can you help me resolve this issue?

    Hello Gisele

You need to remove the plugin.

To remove it, please go to cPanel file manager or use a FTP client, go to /wp-content/plugins/ folder and delete the plugin for defender plugin. For our defender plugin, the folder name is wp-defender. I am not sure which plugin you installed, so please rename (instead of deleting) the folders which have “defender” in its name.

Then try to login in admin and you should have access

As a side note, we always recommend installing our plugins using WPMU DEV Dashboard to avoid such issue.

    Have a nice day!

    Cheers,

    Ash
