Need help installing WP Smush Pro; and regular Smush is not working

I purchased the free trial of WP Smush Pro and downloaded it, but it’s not showing up in my plugins, Only the free version. So I decided to you ahead and use the free version. But the free version is not working either. Here’s the error message I received:

Smush request timed out, You can try setting a higher value for WP_SMUSH_API_TIMEOUT.

    I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

    We do not sell single plugins/plugins separately and the Trial subscription is free and it gives you a full access to all the resources here, it doesn’t however let you download plugins (except the WPMU DEV Dashboard one). I’m a bit confused therefore what could have happen.

    I assume though that by “purchasing a trial of WP Smush Pro” you mean that you signed up for a trial subscription here, is that right?

    In order to make use of WP Smush Pro please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the “Plugins -> All plugins” page

    2. Disable and delete all instances (there’s probably a single one only) of WP Smush from there;

    3. Download WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin from this page:

    4. Install it on your site (“Plugins -> Add New -> Upload”:wink: by following this guide (please do not skip it!):

    5. Once the WPMU DEV Dashboard is up and running, go to the “WPMU DEV -> Plugins” page and use it to install and activate WP Smush Pro from there.

    This way the free version that you are using should be switched to the full pro version.

    Hi Adam,

    Yes, this is for the free trial period of the subscription. I have decided that I do not want to continue with the subscription. I had given my credit card info. I don’t see anywhere that allows me to cancel the subscription. Can you tell me how to cancel it?

    If you wish to cancel your subscription (i.e. you would not like to extend it with a similar extension to your existing one), then you need to visit https://wpmudev.com/hub/account/ and cancel it yourself at least 48 hours before your next scheduled subscription payment.
