[Snapshot Pro] Backups Failing to Upload to Hub

Hi There,
A number of our sites seem to be able to create full site local backups but fail when uploading to the hub. Our log is full of the following line, repeated over with different timestamps:
“[snapshot][2020-05-18 18:04:15][Warning] Unable to perform requested system backup, proceeding with builtin”.

We have only used ~50/110 GB of our cloud storage. Help with this would be much appreciated as we aren’t sure what to try next.

Thanks!

    Hey Nicole
Hope you are having a Good day

The notice is shown when the backup creation is done using PHP so there is nothing to worry on that part & this should not be related to the backup not being uploaded.

However, to look more closely I will require WP-admin login & website FTP details.

You should send us your details through our safe contact form

    Thank you Satwick,

Something further that we’ve noticed that might help. This is currently happening on 8 of our sites. The automated backups keep failing and then Automate gets disabled. I’ve noticed that all of the sites where this is happening are hosted on Media Temple. Perhaps that is part of the problem. Our plan is to migrate them all to WPMU hosting, but we want to make sure that we have a backup before doing so.

    Hey Nicole

I tested “Retry Uploading” the backups that were not uploaded due to connection error between the servers, and it was successfully completed.

You can try doing the same for other websites & it should be uploaded fine.

However, if it still does not upload, you can try uploading the attached “snapshot-upload.php” file at /wp-content/mu-plugins directory, if there is no mu-plugin folder, you can create one and upload this file there through FTP and see if it works fine then on those websites.

I also took a full manged backup and it was successfully completed & uploaded to the WPMU Servers.

    For the Automate getting disabled,
I noticed the Scheduled time for Manage backup & for Automate to run was the same (12 AM ), and that caused a conflict while trying to run the backups at the same time,
Also, the Automate got disabled because it was unable to do the backups before the plugin update 6 times consecutively.

You can disable “Auto-backups before every plugin update” from Automate if you do not require that.

To fix that I have changed the Scheduled time for Managed backups (9 am) & Automate (12 am) to run on separate times so as to avoid that conflict & load on the server.

You can try doing the same for other websites too.

    I hope that helps.

Feel free to reach back to us for any further queries regarding this

    Kind Regards,
